David was born and raised in Kenya’s central highlands and he spent most of his formative years in this countryside. With an early penchant for adventure and the outdoors, David joined the countries internationally recognised tourism training institute Utalii College after having completed his High school education. This involved doing a three-year tourism diploma in tour guiding and hotel management, which he successfully completed.

David has spent the last 15 years working with various reputable tour operators in Kenya as well as doing time in the major game reserves and National Parks leading special interest groups, individuals and incentive groups. From all this fieldwork over the years, David has built up an impressive file of customer testimonials who all say what a pleasure it is to be on safari with David here in East Africa

David is fluent in English and Spanish just as he is in his own tribal language Kikuyu and Kikamba.

David is in the select small group of Kenyan professional safari guides that have qualified for the Silver Medal in the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA). Silver is currently the highest professional qualification available.

David will be an asset to any safari group travelling in Kenya as he shares his wealth of knowledge on the people and wildlife that make Kenya such a fascinating country to tour and do a safari in. He is married with two children aged 5 and10 years.
